Assembling your bike

Your new bike will arrive in the manufacturer's original box and will be part-assembled. When you unpack your bike, assembly is required.

Assembling your bike may take between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the style of the bicycle. You will need some standard tools for assembly including an adjustable wrench, hex wrench, pliers, and a screwdriver. Full details of the tools required will be included in your instruction manual.

Typical assembly follows the following 5 steps:

  • Insertion of the seat and post to the frame
  • Insertion of the handlebars to the frame/fork
  • Attachment of the pedals to the crank
  • Mounting of the front wheel to the fork
  • Minor adjustment of the brakes and gears

For a closer look at how to assemble your bike, please watch our helpful guide:

Delivery times quoted are for "working days". We dispatch Mon-Fri, and delivery days are also Mon-Fri, unless by prior arrangement.

All cycles for home delivery are supplied in the manufacturer's original carton. These are approximately 85% assembled, but they will need some self-assembly and a few final adjustments before they're ready to go (see the bottom of this page for details).
