Assembling your bike
Your new bike will arrive in the manufacturer's original box and will be part-assembled. When you unpack your bike, assembly is required.
Assembling your bike may take between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the style of the bicycle. You will need some standard tools for assembly including an adjustable wrench, hex wrench, pliers, and a screwdriver. Full details of the tools required will be included in your instruction manual.
Typical assembly follows the following 5 steps:
- Insertion of the seat and post to the frame
- Insertion of the handlebars to the frame/fork
- Attachment of the pedals to the crank
- Mounting of the front wheel to the fork
- Minor adjustment of the brakes and gears
